Water Board to meet in Boise
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Water Resource Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, March 14, at 8:30 a.m. at the Idaho Water Center, 322 E. Front Street in Boise. A work session will be held the previous day.
During the meeting, the board will receive progress reports on the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer Comprehensive Aquifer Management Plan and the revision of the State Water Plan. A status report will be delivered on the Dworshak Hydropower Project. The Board will review the following loan requests: the Cub River Irrigation Company to construct a pressurized pipeline system to benefit water users in Franklin County; Dalton Water Association to fund an upgrade of two water supply mainlines in Kootenai County; Pinehurst Water District to replace a water storage tank in Shoshone County; and two requests that involve canal piping projects in Fremont and Madison counties by Canyon Creek Canal Company and Enterprise Irrigation District.
During the work session on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the same location, the Board will review Water Transactions Program projects in an effort to protect endangered fish. The Board will receive an update of the progress to revise well construction rules. An executive session will also be held, that will not be open to the public, which will involve the potential acquisition of real property.
