MV Stampede/PRCA rodeo bigger, better
FILER, Idaho - Organizers promise a bigger and better rodeo when the Magic Valley Stampede rides through the arena at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds during the Twin Falls County Fair. This year the fair board chose a rodeo committee. The committee is enthusiastic about the opportunity to make the stampede the best around for the cowboys and the spectators as well.
All of the people behind the scenes of a rodeo have their work cut out for them in creating an event unlike any other. with the cooperation of the stock contractor, contestants, livestock, and other personnel, the rodeo comes together for the enjoyment of the fans. The staff at the twin falls county fair has been working to bring all of this together in the Magic Valley Stampede PRCA Rodeo Aug. 28n30. it is the goal of management and the fair board to fill the stands and provide the best entertainment for the spectators.
This year’s stampede will continue to include popular events like the mutton bustin’ competition as well as the traditional rodeo classics of bare-back, saddle-bronc riding and bull riding. With the cooperation of the Sankey Rodeo Company stock, the show promises to be something special.
This year the purse will be increased $1,000 per event for a total event purse of $6,000. Slack and timed events will be Friday night, Aug 29, after performance.
Thursday’s performance will highlight tough enough to wear pink. Each cowboy that wins his individual event and is wearing pink will be paid an extra $125.
Nightly performances will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
