Snowstorm delays harvest
POWELL - Last weekend's snowstorm will delay the harvest in parts of northern Wyoming.
Mike Moore of the University of Wyoming Seed Certification Service said the snow halted harvesting of dry beans and alfalfa seed in the Big Horn Basin of north-central Wyoming.
He said both harvests had already been lagging before the storm hit.
Moore said fields must dry out before the harvest can resume. Some of the crop may be lost, he said.
